The project included redevelopment and modernisation of a historical tenement building at 27 Kościuszki Street, Krakow. The development was conducted in a Construction Management Scheme.

After the aforementioned redevelopment, the building’s usable area is almost 2,600 m2 and consists of 4 above-ground floors, 1 below-ground level and a mezzanine. The ground floor is dedicated to services and facilities, while higher levels serve as apartments for rent.

Scope of services

Our task was to comprehensively supervise all processes connected with refurbishment and redevelopment works while preserving the historical appearance of the building. We have also provided Cost Management and Site Supervision services.

Challenges

  • Forced changing of the development scheme, from a general contractor to Construction Management.
  • Monitoring and supervision of numerous changes altering the interior design during the implementation of works.

Achievements

  • Meeting the set budget limits despite difficult and continuously changing market conditions.
  • Maintaining the historical appearance of the building.
  • Achieving the expected standard despite changes in the development scheme and modifications in the design documentation.
